How do you get acriylic nails off?

i got my nail done at the shop and theyve been on for a littl eover a month..will they ever come off i dont want to bit them off because my real nails will break and they are almost as long as the fake nailsHow do you get acriylic nails off?
Either go back to the salon to have them removed or use this method I use on clients

Get half a cotton wool ball , soak it in pure acetone and place on your nail, then wrap your thumb tip in a small piece of kitchen foil. Repeat on the remaining 4 fingers of one hand. After 10 minutes gently remove your thumb from its foil pod and buff off any bubbly acrylic and replace in the foil pod, do this on the other nails repeating until its all gone. You will probably need to resoak the cotton wool at some point.

Do NOT pull or pick at any acrylic on your nail or you will damage your own nails. Once one hand is done you do the other hand.

Using foil stops evaporation of the acetone and also heats it slightly which speeds up the process a little, try and get a snug as fit as possible on the foil pod to minimise drips and evaporation.

The only thing water does is soften your nail so if you were to prise off the acrylic after soaking in water then you'd take a few layers of your natural nail with it, leaving thin weak nails...thats why fake nails have a bad reputation. How do you get acriylic nails off?
Your real nails were really damaged when they put on your full set. I reccomend you have the salon take them off for you (shoudl cost about $10) so that you don't damage your nails even more than they are now. You real nails are so thin right now from all the filing that you need to make sure you don't peel off your real nails along withh the acrylic. The salon will soak your nails in acetone until the acrylic disolves (this is less painful that picking the nails off) then they will file your nails and put a moisturizing oil to start the healing process.
you can soak them in nail polish (make sure it is the strong kind it says 100% ethanol if it is strong) but this still takes a REALLY long time.. like around an hour

it is easier to just go to the salon they will take them off for you!

hope this helps :]]]
Um. try soaking them in nail polish remover, and then warm water. they should come loose if not off.
i had acrylic nails just a few weeks ago and i soaked them in warm water and kind of peeled them off.... hope this helps
