That's cute. I really like dark nails, but only when they're short [otherwise they get a bit dracula-esque.] The deep purple is nice for valentine's day, but won't look weird afterwards. That's cute. I really like dark nails, but only when they're short [otherwise they get a bit dracula-esque.] The deep purple is nice for valentine's day, but won't look weird afterwards. If you remove your acrylic nails just be really careful with your natural nails. Don't buff them at all. You can use asatone to remove them, it's the only thing that works, but it's still really difficult. Trim the ends short and soak your fingertips in the asatone... they don't really disolve, just get soft, then you peel them off little by little. It might hurt some.

Lastly I would highly recommend that you do not go to a Korean nail shop unless you are lucky to have a good one you can trust. When i had my two guinea pigs i bought some cat nail trimmers. They are like tiny scissors that have a curve at both ends. The piggies names are very thin and it will be easy to trim. Only trim what is white and avoid the pink. I would just hold them in my hand (or a friend hold them) and rest their paw on your thumb so the nails hang over and then clip, you're done.
My piggies never seemed active, but i started checking on them at night and they were having a ball! I had one that froze when i walked in the room and the other would hide out in his dome the whole time.

If you remove your acrylic nails just be really careful with your natural nails. Don't buff them at all. You can use asatone to remove them, it's the only thing that works, but it's still really difficult. Trim the ends short and soak your fingertips in the asatone... they don't really disolve, just get soft, then you peel them off little by little. It might hurt some.

Lastly I would highly recommend that you do not go to a Korean nail shop unless you are lucky to have a good one you can trust. The problem is that they do not allow you to soak long enough to soften the dead cuticle so that it can be easily trimmed.

When i had my two guinea pigs i bought some cat nail trimmers. They are like tiny scissors that have a curve at both ends. The piggies names are very thin and it will be easy to trim. Only trim what is white and avoid the pink. I would just hold them in my hand (or a friend hold them) and rest their paw on your thumb so the nails hang over and then clip, you're done.
My piggies never seemed active, but i started checking on them at night and they were having a ball! I had one that froze when i walked in the room and the other would hide out in his dome the whole time.
They are funny creatures! As long as they are eating normal and pooping normal i would assume they are healthy but it never hurts to call the vet and ask advice :)

i have had alot of guinea pigs and some of mine even had babies, sometimes him not moving might be a sign of loneliness or depression, make sure to take it out at least once a day and play with it and make sure to hold it next to your heart bc the sound of it beating should sooth him, and i would suggest going to a vet to get his nails clipped bc guinea pigs can run and wiggle when they don't want to do something and that could be dangerous. if u have any more questions about him contact me. id be happy to help, also make sure to clean his cage at least once every two weeks and if you feed him fruits of vegetables, he should like some of them, some he might not, try carrots and tomatoes. but also washing them with baby shampoo is good occasionally, if they smell or if u feed him tomatoes he will most likely get juice all under his mouth, its so cute but taking a wet wash cloth to that area is good, if you bathe him u must make sure he's dry other wise he could catch a cold and if you don't catch it early it could be fatal,acne scars

I just got my nails done this morning (a white tip acrlyic). The only thing is I was so excited about my sexy nails that I forgot to ask the lady how to take care of them. TRying to grow nails, but they are brittle after hainvg acrylics?
I have had acrylic, flase nails for 2 years and 2 months ago I had them taken off as I want to try and grow my natural nails again for my wedding in July. You can wear it under nail varnish too. Visit selfridges, they have a consession, i think opi's website is opi.com..in fact it is..i just checked. They also have a huge range of colours and strengthen varnishes, cuticle refiners and manicure/pedicures. The strengthener is called Original Nail Envy, there is also Matte Nail Envy, Dry and Brittle, Sensitive and Peeling and the best for you Soft and Thin. Good luck! It really helped me!

Since you have had acrylics for so long it's going to take your nails even longer to get their original strength back. To speed up the process try using a nail buffer to bring out more of your nails natural oils to the surface. Does the Maximum growth you bought include strengthener? If anything you need to get a nail polish supplement that helps strengthen yor nails rather than growth. And the last thing is there are vitamins out there that you could pick up at GNC but since you are in U.K just check out a vitamin store. They are all natural and their made just for women for nail, hair, and skin growth. But on a cheaper budget just get a plain nail strengthener polish and continue to cut them short as they get longer for 2-3 weeks. Just take care of them!

Since you have had acrylics for so long it's going to take your nails even longer to get their original strength back. To speed up the process try using a nail buffer to bring out more of your nails natural oils to the surface. Does the Maximum growth you bought include strengthener? If anything you need to get a nail polish supplement that helps strengthen yor nails rather than growth. And the last thing is there are vitamins out there that you could pick up at GNC but since you are in U.K just check out a vitamin store. They are all natural and their made just for women for nail, hair, and skin growth. But on a cheaper budget just get a plain nail strengthener polish and continue to cut them short as they get longer for 2-3 weeks. Just take care of them!

How do I cut my rabbit's nails?

be sure you cut it right . because if you cut it wrongly . bleeding may occur . there'll be a light pink section in your bunny's nails , thats the quik , when your cutting . be sure to leave about 0.3 cm of white coloured-nail behind to make sure safety 1st :D btw your not suppose to cut the quik :D its just like our nails . pink and white . who on earth cuts the pink part of our nails ? only some weirdos does it :D
when your holding on to your bunny's paw . you can also try comforting it by adding a little pressure [ not too hard ] onto his paw and rubbing it gently . it kinda eases the rabbit's fear .

Least painful way to take off acrylic nails ?
so a few weeks ago i got my nails done. the guy who did them sucked. i can see all these bubbles and its starting to separate from the part of the nail closest to the cuticle. i want to take Them off because they are just bugging me. i don't have the money to get them taken off or filled. what is the least painful way to take them off?Least painful way to take off acrylic nails ?

You have to soak them in pure acetone and nail polish remover does nothing unless you have 2 weeks to try and remove them yourself. If you really want them off I suggest holding your nail firmly and cutting as much of the fake nail off with a large nail clipper, after that you will need to file, file and file some more. It's a royal pain. I had fake nails placed on once and never did it again. it's a hassle. Your nails will look horrible because it's such stress on the nail bed to remove them. good luck.

How do you stop bitting your nails?
i have a bad habit of bitting my nails. I've tried to not bight them but it never works. i get nervous and paranoid and i just cant help but to bite. my nails aren't to the point were it bleeds when i bite but its getting there and I'm sick of it so any suggestions will help.

Get a cotton ball and put finger nail polish remover all over your finger nails and the tips of your fingers. I was realllllllly bad about biting my finger nails, and I started doing that, and it really helped me stop. Right now, i'm using the nail polish thing. It's working well enough, but once a nail grows out long enough, it gets really really really really tempting to bite... cuz... you know, it's just RIGHT THERE! xD
Did you use normal nail polish, or the special kind? I know there's a special kind out there that tastes really really bad...
I tried putting tape over my nails (actually, i got that from a Bearstein Bears book, but shhh :)), but that didnt' work, cuz it looked ugly and i couldnt' really do anythign with tape over my fingers, haha
but mostly, it's willpower. I know it's hard, but if you ever notice yourself chewing, FORCE THAT HAND AWAY FROM YOUR MOUTH! Also, tell your friend and family, and tell them to remind you to stop chewing if they catch your doing it. One of my friends is kinda crazy ish and screams and slaps me when she catches me chewing :)
and... there's the more 'extreme' way, is to give whoever catches you chwing money................ i think i also got that from Beatstein bears :)
Eventually, it will get easier to stop yourself, and it's kinda satisfying to see your nails... RESIST! Trust me, it's easier to stop earlier than later.

Hmm. They make a liquid stuff to help people to stop biting their nails some of my friends found it and said that it worked really good I just cant remember the nail. I think you can find it at a beauty store or maybe like a bath%26amp;body..I am really not sure... I used to be just like you. I used the nail polish remover and then put that clear nail strengthen on my nails and that was the nastiest thing. But i agree with the will power part too. I had to stop so I would catch myself just as I would start to bite them. Its really hard i agree. After a while if you really just keep after yourself it should not be that bad. I also have to keep my cut cause if they get to long its just annoying...

Get a cotton ball and put finger nail polish remover all over your finger nails and the tips of your fingers. I was realllllllly bad about biting my finger nails, and I started doing that, and it really helped me stop. I tried putting tape over my nails (actually, i got that from a Bearstein Bears book, but shhh :)), but that didnt' work, cuz it looked ugly and i couldnt' really do anythign with tape over my fingers, haha
but mostly, it's willpower. I know it's hard, but if you ever notice yourself chewing, FORCE THAT HAND AWAY FROM YOUR MOUTH! Also, tell your friend and family, and tell them to remind you to stop chewing if they catch your doing it. One of my friends is kinda crazy ish and screams and slaps me when she catches me chewing :)
and... there's the more 'extreme' way, is to give whoever catches you chwing money................ i think i also got that from Beatstein bears :)
Eventually, it will get easier to stop yourself, and it's kinda satisfying to see your nails... RESIST! Trust me, it's easier to stop earlier than later.
Personally, i still nibble at my nails, but the dark nail polish i'm wearing would chip where i chewed, and i'd give myself a mental slap across the face for it... so um, yeah. That's it. probably wasnt' too helpful, but... um, yeah. Sorry for rambling :)

Hmm. They make a liquid stuff to help people to stop biting their nails some of my friends found it and said that it worked really good I just cant remember the nail. I think you can find it at a beauty store or maybe like a bath%26amp;body..I am really not sure... I used to be just like you. if you are really nervous about cutting them you really should just take them to the groomer once a month they have harness to hold them
if u really don't, then you just gotta suck it up and hold them down on their sides when your arm laying across their neck. in this position they know you are dominant and will stop resisting. get a pair of small clippers for small dogs and some quick stop just incase you do cut the quik. if the dogs nails are white the pink area is the quik and you cut off nail right above it. if the dogs nails are black cut a little bit off at a time until you don't see white in the center anymore and there is a black spot in the middle that looks shiny- this means you are very near the quik.
if you do happen to cut the quik, immediately apply the quick stop to the nail and hold it for 10 seconds. this will stop the bleeding and numb the nerve,
i do not recommend grinders for dogs that are squeamish to nail trimmings because they can be quite nosey and scare the dogs even more.

My strategy is to keep them short (not male-lenghth short) enough so they don't break. If you file them regularly and put a clear coat on you should be okay. Make sure to change the coat every two or three days because when the nail polish starts to chips, so will the strength of your nails.

How do I shape my nails into an almond shape?
I've found it's sometimes hard to get them symmetrical...which is a shame because it's my favorite nail shape. Usually I start with mine square shaped (and a bit longer than I want them eventually to be) to make sure everything is even from the beginning. Then hold the file at a slight angle and file from the corner to the center, keeping the file under the nail. Then round the center part of your nail a bit, but not too much or they'll look more round than almond shaped. When you're done, check the shape by looking at the underside of the nail...like, look at it with your palm facing toward you...to make sure it's symmetrical.
