I have used all the chemist creams - fatty lemnis etc but they dont stop it coming back really bad!My 1 year old has excema and i need some tips as soon as he scratches it all comes back i do cut his nails?
Get him tested for allergies. I cannot tell you how often this is behind eczema in infants. Usually dairy or wheat are the culprits. But it can also be a lack of 'good' fats as opposed to 'bad' ones. The goodies are high in high-density lipoproteins (HDLs) and include cold-pressed oils like almond, avocado, light olive, etc and the baddies are the artificial or poorer ones like Canola (aka rapeseed), margarines, polyunsaturated, etc.
But definitely talk to a nutrititionist/naturopath and have him tested. My 1 year old has excema and i need some tips as soon as he scratches it all comes back i do cut his nails?
One of my children had eczema so I know how painful and irritating it can be. Here's what I did to relieve some of the symptoms.
Wash everything in Dreft detergent
Use soft soaps like Dove to bath in
Use Eucerin lotion or cream to moisturize
Give him a bath once a week in a oatmeal bath. You can buy colloidal oatmeal bath at the drugstore.
This should help just about immediately
My child's cleared up once they reached late teens
Good luck
but bandages over it. Sounds weird, but it works! when i was little i had teh same problem and my mom put bandages all over it so i couldnt scratch it. also, there is this cream used for ex mosquito and bee stings that could work because it numbs the area.
