Did you get your nails done in the 1st Trimester?

I am currently 5 Weeks and 3 Days





I have an acrylic overlay on my nails. I am long over due for a fill in but didn't know if it's safe for me to have my nails done now or if I should soak the acrylic off.





Did anyone get their nails done while they were pregnant?





I am a first time Mommy to Be and learning as I go along.





I really appreciate any advice....

Totally fine. It won't hurt you in the least. I've kept my done my whole pregnancy. Pretty sure my midwives would have mentioned it if there were. Lol!!





I understand your worry though. But there's nothing harmful about it...other than maybe breathing in the shavings...and if you are really worried about it, I'm sure you can ask for one of the mask thingys. :)Did you get your nails done in the 1st Trimester?
I didn't because when I went into the salon, the fumes were sooo strong. They were really busy that day, so I ended up going back while it was slow. They had the fan going and a door open. I didn't smell any fumes, so I got a pedi.





If the fumes are too strong, just wait another day or go somewhere else.
I did once but didnt know I was pregnant at that point yet. I have since let them fall off. With me being pregnant and getting fat, pretty nails arent going to make me feel any better. And once I have a newborn again, I dont want to jab my baby with a nail. I will wait until I lose most of my baby weight and the baby is at least 5 months old before I get them done regularly again.
I did, but never in my first trimester. That time frame is so critical that I didn't want to mess it up. Something as stupid as getting your nails done can wait until your second trimester.
it is fine.. i never do my nails they grow so fast anyways. but i get a pedicure done every 2 weeks! nails are fine though.
yea when i was 10weeks prego..is ok to have them done.
